I’m Isabella Littleford—a fashion industry veteran who’s spent years studying the balance of couture and comfort.
Having spent more than ten years in fashion, I’ve had the honor of honing my craft in Paris, the capital of couture and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. This journey has shaped my eye for luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that seamlessly blends a distressed, lived-in vibe with impeccable high-end craftsmanship. Here, I’ll walk you through my thoughts on different Superstar models, diving into their style, comfort, and versatility.
Whether you’re a die-hard sneaker collector or simply looking to inject a bit of chic into your wardrobe, I’m here to offer you expert insights with insights drawn from my years in the fashion trenches. Let’s dive into why Golden Goose sneakers deserve a spot in your lineup!
Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m breaking down a bunch of frequently asked questions, as well as where to score deals on them, in the sections below! Also, if you’re looking for more of my recent reviews, take a look at my Abercrombie vs. golden goose for men Agolde jean shorts review, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and thoughts on the Dudley Stephens fleece pullover!
Where were you able to get your pair?
Cettire had them on sale and I took advantage right away!
I ordered them on April 28th and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .
What’s the price?
When I ordered my pair in April, I paid $385.43, but their regular price is around $514.
These sneakers typically range from $410 and $1,700, depending on how decked out they are.
Are they true to size?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.
Since they keep their shape and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.

Are they comfortable?
They required minimal break-in time..
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Stunning.
Would you buy again?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a minimalist version would also be smart.
Where can I find them on sale?
Scroll down for my go-to sources. I had a perfect experience with GGoose.org, so I suggest them first.
- GGoose.org – the place where I bought my pair!
- Gilt – you can sign up for free!
- Vestiaire Collection – it also looks like they’re offering $50 off your APP first order of $150+ with code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – fantastic prices on new or gently used GG sneakers
- Ebay – plenty of awesome steals on pre-owned pairs of Golden Goose shoes
- @likeabandit – she highlights loads of GG finds on her Instagram stories, keep an eye out
Where did you buy them?
I found mine on sale via Cettire and snagged them that way!
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick – definitely a bonus
How much do they run?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and seventeen hundred depending on their level of detail.
Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36. Since they keep their shape and half sizes aren’t available, I’d choose the larger option.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just get comfortable fast.
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid.
Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
